Why this exists

The 5 of us often spend a lot of time watching and discussing football, spending most of our day on Discord (thanks, COVID). That’s led to us making bets with each other about who wins a match, spicing up the usual matchday shenanigans. To somewhat formalise this and add an extra competitive edge to this, we aimed to make a Discord bot to facilitate local betting on football matches using virtual (fake) currency.
